Just my imagination.

Ultrasounds can be frustrating because you can't see your baby as clearly as the doctors do. And for the first time, I had to have an ultrasound alone. J can usually understand the ultrasound images better than I can (They say that men are really better at that because they're more visual than women.) but he had to stay in Makati for a meeting yesterday.

I didn't really need an ultrasound, but given that I only have a few weeks left, I wanted to know how the baby was doing, and if she was indeed a girl. It would be a nightmare to give birth to a baby boy when all our baby gear is girlash. But as it turns out, I have nothing to worry about right now. She's a girl alright, and she has all her organs, fingers and toes. I even got a glimpse of her face...I wanted to have a 4D ultrasound but it costs Php4,300! So I settled for the normal kind and it was ok, as long as I know that she's healthy.

Layla's about 5lbs 5oz right now. According to Tita Steny, she could be heavier, like 6lbs! So I'm still careful with what I eat. The lungs are the last organs to develop, which is why it's safer to give birth late because her lungs will be ready to go for sure. Other than that, she's already a little human in my tummy and we're excited to see her when she comes out, especially since all these ultrasound images aren't really showing us how she looks exactly. All we can do now is imagine. J's son Tristan just thinks his baby sister looks like an alien! And I don't blame him because she kinda does at this point. :)
