Meeting the OB.
The first time J and I visited my OB-Gyn, Tita Steny, I loved her right away because she was so calm and friendly. When she spoke, she made me feel like I had nothing to worry about.
I'm about 7 months pregnant now and my Mummy and sister Bianca went to the hospital with me today to meet Tita Steny. She welcomed my family and answered all of my Mum's questions with calm, confidence, and best of all, cheerfulness. Yes, she is actually one of the most cheerful doctors I have ever met, so she's perfect for me.
My favorite part of the check up was when she checked on the baby and allowed Mummy and Bianca to listen to the heartbeat. They had seen the National Geographic Special In The Womb and were prepared to hear a heartbeat slightly faster than their own, but to actually hear Layla's heartbeat still painted surprise on their faces. Their eyes lit up and I loved it.
I don't need an ultrasound anymore until my 40th week, but I think I'd like to bring them for one next time. I can't exactly afford a 4D ultrasound but we'll see. I think it'll be good for them. :)
Meanwhile, I've to cut down on my food intake. This baby's growing fast, especially now that I'm in the last trimester. No more sweets, no more ice cream...I don't want to squeeze a bowling bowl out of me! Baby, you can get fat when you're born, but for now, stay small! At least small enough for me to give birth to you naturally!
